We know a hospital visit or stay is rarely convenient. But at Scotland County Hospital, we make patient care as comfortable as possible — whether you're here for a few hours or a few days.
Even before you arrive, we are making preparations for you. We will do everything we can to make your visit with us comfortable, pleasant and informative for you and your family. When you arrive, please check in at the Admissions/Registration Desk (south entrance, Hospital Drive - off Watkins Street), unless otherwise directed by your Physician. A parent or guardian must accompany children under age 18.
PARKING
There are many parking lots that allow access to the Hospital and Memphis Medical Services. When you have a need to use the services of Scotland County Hospital or Memphis Medical Services, there are many paved and gravel lots for convenient parking, plus a covered area at the Emergency Department/Admissions entrance for drop-off (on Hospital Drive, off Watkins Street).

Surgery Patients/Family: North Parking Lot A - Sigler Avenue

COURTYARD
For your comfort and convenience,
Scotland County Hospital has constructed
a beautiful garden and courtyard in the
newest construction project. The Courtyard
is located, outside, between the new Surgery
Center and Women’s Center (not visible
from the parking lot). This area is for you to enjoy, while you or your loved one is in our care. We believe you will find this area to be very peaceful.
The Courtyard is a non-smoking area.
WAITING ROOMS
Scotland County Hospital has ample waiting areas for many departments, including Emergency, Surgery, Women's Center, Memphis Medical Center and more. Please ask staff to direct you to the most convenient waiting area for your particular needs. Most waiting areas offer a coffee service (free of charge), vending machines and restrooms for your convenience.
Outpatient ('same day surgery') surgery patients may have one family member accompany the patient in the room. Pediatric patients may have both parents accompany them. All other family and friends may wait in designated waiting areas. Inpatient (requiring an overnight hospital stay) surgery patient families may wait in the patient room or designated waiting areas.
